What to Expect During Your Website Project with Us
When you're ready to begin your website project, we're ready for you! Here are the steps that we follow and what you can expect during the design process:
- If you're ready to go, you can place your order at the bottom of this page or we can begin with an initial phone or zoom meeting. Click here to set up your meeting.
- We will send you a form to fill out to help us get started - if you want to prepare for this form, begin gathering the following:
- A high resolution headshot (note: we can help you create an AI headshot if you need one)
- Any additional pictures of you with family, with clients, with your pets, at an event, hobby photos or whatever else you'd like to share about your life. Remember - this is about YOU and how people will relate to you, so make it real!
- Your contact info, and required company compliance requirements
- Your color and branding preferences
- Your bio (or bullet points so we can write it for you)
- Any other photos or videos you'd like to include. For example, if you have a YouTube channel or have purchased whiteboard videos we will need either a link to them or the original videos.
- Your domain registrar log in credentials (where you bought your domain, like GoDaddy)
- Once we receive all of the above information, and your initial payment, we will begin the review phase. This is where we look over everything and reach out to you if we have questions.
- Then we begin the design phase. You may not hear from us for a few days, depending on our design queue. Typically, this phase can take from 7-10 days. We won't begin until we receive all of the information you would like to include.
- Once we have the initial design, we will send you a video tour of the site. You can then look everything over and request edits.
- We will look over the mobile version and make sure it looks good. We don't do this until the final edits are done.
- After we've edited the site and receive final payment for the design, we will access your registrar domain by logging in as you. You may need to be available to authenticate our login. We will text you before we do this to make sure you're available.
- It can take a few hours to propagate a website and generate an SSL certificate (security for your site)
- Monthly hosting payments will be collected automatically via our payment processor.
